Someday, people will want to compose epic ballads about my life. When they finally get down to it, I figured a blog like this one would make good reference material.
Perhaps, in the extravagance
of youth, we give away our devotions easily and all but arbitrarily, on the mistaken assumption that we’ll always have more to give." - Michael Cunningham

We went to the park. We sat by the lake. We ate McDonalds. We greeted the gardener. We fed a turtle (being too far away for me to poke at its shell, I bombarded it with bread and received stares from passing tourists). We saw the $5 note tree. I sat on the $5 note tree. We saw a sundial. We took pictures of a purple lotus in full bloom. We admired bonsai. We admired cactus. I touched the Swiss granite fountain. She exerted herself to stop it from turning. We greeted a park official. We walked under many frangipani trees. We sat on a bench (because the pavilion was under renovation). We sat by symphony lake. We discussed the couples feeding fish together (very romantic, indeed). We wanted to sit on the stage (but it was closed). We saw a kingfisher. We were ambushed by birds (walking past the ixora bushes). We walked to the evolution garden (then decided to walk to the children’s garden instead). We sat on another bench. A lorry zoomed past us. We saw mediacorp artistes filming (they wondered out loud about what we were doing at the park). She wanted to spy on them. But we fled through the banana trees. We went to the children’s garden. It had an age limit. OTL, cheated. We walked out of the park to the main road where we parted.
