Someday, people will want to compose epic ballads about
my life. When they finally get down to it, I figured a blog like this one would make good reference material.

Perhaps, in the extravagance
of youth, we give away our
devotions easily and all but
arbitrarily, on the mistaken
assumption that we’ll always
have more to give."
- Michael Cunningham

The frightening part is, we're not just being dramatic here.

(Note: The following conversation has been mildly edited.)

Korean Dramas
A says:
like this korean drama i watched. story started out fine. then they started adding complications until everything became so convoluted and knotted up that even the complications themselves were meaningless in contributing to the story overall. then the guy at the supposed centre of all the complications decides to crash his car to kill himself, effectively killing all complications with him.
A says:
and also making the story extremely farcey and unsatisfying.
...
B says:
he should have shouted "SUCKERS" *middle finger* before crashing
A says:
HAHAHAHA
B says:
EPIC
B says:
way to break the fourth wall

Mediacorp Dramas
A says:
i find mediacorp dramas so irritating ><
A says:
bad directing, bad script, bad acting, bad characterisation.
A says:
bad plot even
B says:
i watched polo boys
B says:
PAINFUL
A says:
oh yes i heard about that too.
A says:
acs inspired drama i bet.
B says:
its basically a story about a troop of monkeys who discover a swimming pool
A says:
HAHAHA
B says:
throw in michelle chia and adrian to give it some "street cred"
B says:
and market it shamelessly as the next big thing
B says:
all that hype for nothing really
B says:
the boys they hired for the water polo team cant act
B says:
some of them cant even enunciate
B says:
they are like brawny amphibious chimpanzees
A says:
HAHAHAHHAA
A says:
it's really an ACS-inspired cheapo drama
A says:
you know how ACS' water polo team is reputed to have hot guys.
B says:
all brawn no brain?
A says:
yes XD
A says:
i want to weep when i watch ourdramas.
A says:
why do you watch mediacorp ><
A says:
okay i know you have no cable, but there's youtube and bbc? ><
B says:
for the lulz
A says:
it's quite entertaining sometimes to just poke fun at the drama
B says:
actually that's really the whole point of watching them
A says:
indeed it is xD
