Someday, people will want to compose epic ballads about
my life. When they finally get down to it, I figured a blog like this one would make good reference material.

Perhaps, in the extravagance
of youth, we give away our
devotions easily and all but
arbitrarily, on the mistaken
assumption that we’ll always
have more to give."
- Michael Cunningham

Sorry I just HAD to post about this video, mostly for my sake, and anyone out there who appreciates K-pop and reads my blog (i.e. nobody).

So on to the video, here we see Shinee trying to channel a DBSK (omg!ohnoes!ohf***no!). 4 out of 5 members successfully manage to do this, much to my undisguised contempt and disgust; except for...

Onew

my new favourite, who just couldn't pull off the bad boy image.

Disclaimer: the following is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to actual persons or events is purely coincidental.

Evidently, SM Entertainment blew a large portion of their budget on the 3 set and costume changes, much to the chagrin of the hair stylists. This would indubitably explain the sudden plummet in terms of taste. The hair stylists have absolved themselves from all responsibility for those crazy moments in the hair dressing room, where things can get a little chaotic. You're overworked, and in a moment of madness, you are misled to think that the PCK perm/hair dyed in the colour of French toast prepared by a British man/hair styled in an aerodynamic fashion, would in some state of consciousness be a good idea. The point being, it could happen to an underpaid anybody.

Not to mention, the choreography at the chorus bit is both creepy and disturbing (not a winning combination). I know they're just trying to bring across the idea of "fan-tas-teec ea-lasteec" but, can you imagine watching that from behind? freaky.

Now, let's see what an article from allkpop has to say about Shinee's new song:

"Their title track off their upcoming album '2009, Year of Us' is called "Ring, Ding, Dong." Inspired by an African congo beat with the typical electronic touch, "Ring, Ding, Dong" is about the moment one falls in love, a ringing echoes in one's head. It seems SHINee's comeback will be a plethora of various flavors! Their comeback single will be released on various online music sites on the 14th and their comeback album will follow on the 19th. Fans should also anticipate their comeback stage on the 16th of this month on Music Bank!

With the emergence of a brand new SHINee, will their drastic change in image help bring them to the top?"

Now if only the actual song were half as eloquent as the write-up. In fact, it really isn't much of a song, but it would make for a good wake-up alarm tune.

Actually, it quite reminds me of...

I wonder why. Don't watch too carefully though, (you might see crazy frog's manhood (o.O)lolwhut).
